Rebecca Wallwork is a writer and former magazine editor based in Miami Beach. She has written about entertainment, arts, and travel for Interview, Rolling Stone, WSJ. Magazine, CNN, The New York Post, MIAMI , and The Sunday Telegraph, among others.
Her personal essays have been published by The Washington Post, The Sydney Morning Herald, News.com.au, Slag Glass City, and Jenny Magazine.
Her short fiction has appeared in Real South/West magazine and Islandia Journal.
Rebecca is the author of New Kids on the Block's Hangin' Tough, a book in Bloomsbury’s 33 1/3 series on influential albums, and she also contributed to the 2019 anthology,
The 33 1/3 B-sides: New Essays by 33 1/3 Authors on Beloved and Underrated Albums.
Rebecca completed a BA in Communications at the University of Western Sydney, and an MFA in Creative Writing at Florida International University, where she also teaches creative writing. She is currently revising a novel.
RECOGNITION
For her fiction, Rebecca was awarded residencies at The Studios of Key West and The Betsy Writer’s Room, and selected for the Sirenland Writers Conference and The Writing By Writers Tomales Bay Workshop.
